ONERO Bone Health Program
A clinically supervised exercise program proven to improve bone strength and reduce fracture risk.
What Is the ONERO Program?
ONERO is an evidence-based, clinically supervised resistance and impact training program specifically designed for people with osteoporosis, osteopenia or low bone density. Developed by leading bone health researchers, ONERO addresses the two greatest risks associated with osteoporosis: fracture and falls.
SSEP is a certified ONERO provider. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists are trained to deliver the program safely and effectively, with appropriate modifications for each participant.
What the Program Involves
ONERO consists of structured group or individual sessions supervised by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Sessions combine:
- High-intensity progressive resistance training to stimulate bone formation
- Impact training designed to improve bone density at key fracture sites
- Balance and functional movement work to reduce fall risk
- Education on bone health, nutrition and lifestyle factors
Participants complete an initial assessment before starting the program, including a review of their DEXA scan results, medical history and current physical capacity.
Who Is ONERO For?
ONERO is appropriate for adults diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia, those with a history of fragility fractures, people identified as being at high risk of falls and individuals wanting a medically supervised approach to bone health maintenance.
You may benefit from ONERO® if you:
- Have been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia
- Are at risk of fractures
- Want to avoid or complement osteoporosis medication
- Prefer a structured, evidence-based exercise plan
